Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Ensuring they can flourish as part of our team, regardless of their geographical location is a huge driving force for the way we choose to work. Our vision is to be a consistently growing, profitable and highly thought of Group with a hugely motivated and fulfilled team. Our employees’ fulfilment and motivation is the engine of our success, and for those with enthusiasm, ability and ambition there are huge opportunities for personal growth and development. We have two core values which underpin our business and which we encourage our team to embody.

Entrepreneurial Spirit

We are passionate about developing the Regatta Group and relish finding customer focussed and innovative opportunities that will help us grow.

We are a very ambitious, sales driven Group and have a “Can-do” immediate culture that encourages creativity, flexibility, initiative and positive change.

Great Relationships

Having warm, open and collaborative relationships frees us up to be the best we can be. Treat everyone as you would like to be treated. Be great to work with, always kind, courteous, considerate and respectful.

Our culture is very informal and non-hierarchical: All doors are open, all ideas are up for discussion.

The Regatta Way

The Regatta Way

Our success has always and will always be due to having great people carry out quality work to meet our customer needs, deliver our Group Strategy and achieve the overall growth plans. It’s not just what we do but how we do it, and so our colleague experience is extremely important to us to ensure high engagement across the group, with our 3 People Priorities being Sense of Belonging, Opportunity to Grow and High Performing Culture. We have an open-door approach where colleagues can easily raise an idea or provide feedback to senior management and directors, we hold regular listening groups to get insights across the business, and surveys are carried out periodically to obtain measurable data on how our people are feeling and what’s important to them.

Inclusion

We are always looking for ways to enhance the inclusiveness of our various working environments and celebrate the diversity we have within the business. Through our recruitment practices we aim to attract a more diverse workforce that fully represents our customers, whilst our learning and development programmes include strengthening leadership and management understanding and raising awareness about inclusion.

In 2020, we launched a global colleague-led initiative, with the aim to reduce 5 things by 50% by 2025; water, plastic, paper, carbon, and non-recycled fibres. This has now evolved and in 2024 we launched RG Future Collective.

Here are some of the things we have achieved so far:

  • Packaging
  • Reduced non-recycled fibres by 50%
  • 100% single-use cups removed from Head Office
  • Head office canteen 100% plan oil free
  • 100% plastic bags removed from our stores & concessions
Driven by a passionate action team, this group is set to introduce new initiatives and help celebrate all things sustainable within the Group. This will include Green Ideas - a platform where colleagues can share ideas of ways to become more sustainable and champion them within the company. We want our teams to feel informed, engaged and inspired to get involved.

Working with our Factory Partners

We want to make a positive difference to the lives of those touched by our business. We run social impact programmes in the same villages as our factories in Bangladesh, looking after the health and wellbeing of the female workers and supporting the education of over 260 children each year in a local school.
